Will the Academy be totally new build?
The sponsors and county council are currently in discussions with the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) about the level of capital investment in the Academy. These discussions should lead to a clearer answer to the question in time for the public meetings in October this year.
Will the entrance be different to that of Kingsmead?
It is hoped to secure a new access to the Academy site and the sponsors and county council are currently exploring a number of options. These should lead to a clearer answer to the question in time for the public meetings in October this year.
Who owns the Kingsmead site?
Currently the Kingsmead Governing Body owns the site. When Kingsmead closes the site will revert to County Council ownership.
