The proposed admissions arrangements for the Academy
All students on roll at Christ College joint Catholic/Anglican school in August 2011 would be offered a place at the proposed Academy on 1 September 2011.
The Academy will offer 180 places each year. Admission procedures will be in line with the Gloucestershire Co-ordinated Admission Scheme which applies to all maintained schools in the county. If the school is oversubscribed in any year, priority will be given to looked-after children, then to Catholic students (35% or 63 of the places), Anglican students (35% or 63 of the places) and local community (30% or 54 of the places). Within each of these categories, priority will be given to siblings and those living closest to the Academy site.
It should be noted that 92% of students at Christ College currently live in postcodes GL50/51.
