This website contains information about the exciting plan for a proposed joint Catholic and Anglican Academy for the Catholic and Anglican parishes currently served by Christ College, for the Cheltenham Kingsmead School community and for the community of west Cheltenham.
Public Consultation meetings for staff, governors, parents and members of the local community were held on 8th and 15th October. The presentation from the events is available here, and you can read the information in the Formal Consultation Booklet here. More feedback will be available shortly.
The deadline for this consultation has now passed. If you have a question you would like us to address, please let us know by contacting info@caa4c.org.uk.
What happens next?
After the closing deadline feedback from this consultation will be reported to the Sponsors (the Clifton Catholic Diocesan Trustees and the Gloucester Anglican Diocesan Board of Education), the Governing Body of Christ College and the County Council’s Cabinet. The results will be carefully considered and if it is decided to proceed with the proposal, the Governors and both Dioceses will begin the steps to close the College, and simultaneously the Sponsors will take steps to open the Academy.
